The Type 177 is a type of bulk carrier from the Sietas shipyard in Hamburg-Neuenfelde .

history

The series was manufactured in three units from 2008 to 2010. The ships are used in the northern European trampoline trip with stones.

technology

The hulls were assembled in sectional construction. The seven cargo holds with a volume of 26,042 m³ and a reinforced tank ceiling are set up for the transport of stones of various types. The ships were equipped with self-extinguishing systems from MacGregor.

The ships of the series are powered by a MaK diesel engine of the type 8M43, which acts on a controllable pitch propeller . The berthing and casting off maneuvers are supported by bow and stern thrusters . From September to December 2015, the three ships were equipped with gas washers one after the other at the Pella Sietas shipyard . The cost of the conversion amounted to around 3 to 3.5 million euros per ship.
