Sigfrid Lindström
Gustaf Hilding Sigfrid Lindström (born April 19, 1892 in Lidhult ( Kronobergs län ), † May 1, 1950 in Lund ) was a Swedish writer , journalist and translator .
He was a son of the deacon Peter Lindström and studied English at Lund University until 1918 . He then worked for the Swedish newspaper Lunds Dagblad from 1920 to 1925 , but after that he was quite ill. He wrote poetry , miniatures and fairy tales in Andersen's style in the chosen language . His work is grotesquely fantastic, skeptical without illusions and interspersed with bitter irony, but not infrequently comical in perspective. In addition, Lindström has translated, among others, DH Lawrence and Albert Camus into Swedish.
