Lidhult is a locality ( Tatort ) in the Swedish province of Kronobergs län and the historic province of Småland . The place in the municipality of Ljungby is located about 30 km from Ljungby , in the south-western part of the municipality.
Buildings in the village
Originally the development in Lidhult was around the church. After the railroad came, the city center shifted west towards the station . The development consists largely of single-family houses in different styles and from different time periods. There is a large industrial area to the west. There are several free building plots in the village.
Live and work
Around 900 people live in the parish, of whom around 410 are gainfully employed. Most commuters go to Ljungby or Halmstad for work , but the other way round.
There are approx. 630 jobs in the parish area, mainly in manufacturing as well as in the health and welfare sector. The largest companies based in Lidhult are Kalmar Industries Sverige AB, a manufacturer of mobile lift and transport systems ( industrial trucks ) and Lidhultskök & Interiör , a manufacturer of kitchens and bathroom furniture.

There are many active clubs such as B. the parish, local history club, gymnastics club, football club, table tennis club, ski club, house and school clubs, shooting club and photo club. The resident companies have joined forces in "Lidhultsbygdens företagarförening". Public meeting places and bars are the meeting house, the parish house, the park of the Heimatverein as well as the community center. There is a sports field next to the school. However, there is also a sports hall, indoor swimming pool, lighted soccer field, running track and shooting range.
education
There is a preschool , a leisure center and a school for the years 0–6 in the village . Years 7–9 go to Kungshögsskolan in Ljungby.

In Lidhuld's shopping center there are various services such as B. a gas station, delivery service for goods, delivery service from Systembolaget and pharmacy. Betting services from “ATG” and “Svenska Spel” are also offered. In the village you will find service providers such as the post office, hardware store, hairdresser, pizzeria, hotel with restaurant but also a fabric shop and a flower shop. There are also residential groups and day care for the disabled and at “Vårdcentral” you can find a doctor, pediatrician, etc. In Lidhult there is a volunteer fire brigade and a library .
Nature and culture
The Hunnsbergsområdet area with the Årshultsmyren moorland are of imperial interest in terms of nature conservation. The Lidhultsåsen, Prosteköp and ÅrshultsmyrenNatur moors are nature reserves. The village of Öxnalt is used as a venue for performances from the Ljungby municipality's cultural program. Buildings of great cultural value are the old mill with the associated buildings and an old farm in Tofthult (Tofthults mangårdsbyggnad). In the area around Lidhult there are many beautiful places, such as B. the bathing place at Lake Askaken and the market square in Lidhult.
