Sigi Domke

Sigi Domke (born January 28, 1957 in Besow , Hinterpommern ) is a German theater director , composer and musician and a long-term writer for Herbert Knebel , author for the Freudenhaus Theater in Essen and Christian Stratmann's " Mondpalast von Wanne-Eickel " in Herne , Specialist in Ruhr area comedies such as "Friends of the Italian Opera", "Ronaldo and Julia" and the "Ruhr Revue".

After many years as a bass player in various bands, he founded “ Herbert Knebel's Affentheater ” together with Uwe Lyko in 1988 , played there until 1993 and was replaced by Georg Goebel-Jakobi (Ozzy Ostermann, guitar). Since then, Sigi Domke, together with Uwe Lyko and Martin Breuer, has been responsible for all stage programs, radio reports, books and CD releases for the Affentheater and Herbert Knebel solo. But he is now better known as a playwright. His Ruhr area comedies for the Freudenhaus Theater (since 1996) and for the Mondpalast (since 2004) are the best sellers in the region. In 1997 he wrote the book on the history of “Herbert Knebel's Affentheater” under the title “Knapp over, but never next to it”, and in 2006 his book “How does Omma look ?! - Fairy tales and other classics told for the Ruhr area ”, 2006“ The Koplecks in: Friends of Italian Opera ”; In 2013 he published together with Michael Hüter (illustrations): “Heroes are always the other. Hilarious struggles with everyday life ”. In 2014, “Wat ne area! Survival Guide Ruhr Area ”, also illustrated by Michael Hüter. Sigi Domke's first novel was published in September 2016: "Neighbors in Trees", 2017 "Pee breaks and tai-chi", 2018 "She sächselt easily when barking". All books were published by Henselowsky Boschmann Verlag , as was the audio book "Sigi Domke reads himself 'n Wolf", published in 2018.
