Sigi Hofer

Sigi Hofer , actually Siegfried Schulhof , (born July 2, 1878 in Iglau , Moravia , † October 8, 1933 in Budapest ) was an Austrian comedian and actor .

Life

Sigi Hofer was one of the most prominent comedians in Vienna . He played an important role in the German-speaking Jewish theater, cabaret and film scene and appeared as a comedian and cabaret artist in “Simpl”, “Max und Moritz” and at the Rolandbühne. He played together with Gisela Wer District , Karl Farkas , Armin Berg , Fritz Grünbaum and Hans Moser, among others . Sigi Hofer worked u. a. in the revue “Alles aus Liebe” (1927 Wiener Stadttheater) and in the films “ Die Stadt ohne Juden ” by Hans Karl Breslauer (character: bar waiter Moritz), “Vienna, you city of songs” (1930), “Two sky-blue eyes ”(1931),“ Hasenklein can't help it ”and“ For once I don't want to worry ”(1932).
