Sigrid Warnicke

Sigrid Warnicke (born Sigrid Harnoss ; born March 27, 1937 in Namslau , Lower Silesia ) is a German politician (SPD). From 1983 to 1995 she sat in the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament.

Life

Sigrid Warnicke was born in the Lower Silesian district town of Namslau. She grew up in Nuremberg and completed a commercial apprenticeship. In 1966 she came to Schleswig-Holstein . In 1970 she joined the SPD and from 1973 was a member of the Lübeck Citizenship Committee for Expellees, Refugees and War Victims . In 1974 she was elected to the state parliament for the first time, to which she belonged until 1983. She was a member of nine committees in the city council and chaired the personnel committee. In addition, she was a member of the personnel committee of the Schleswig-Holstein regional association of the German Association of Cities from 1978 to 1983.

In 1983 she was elected to the Schleswig-Holstein Landtag and gave up her political offices in Lübeck. In 1987 she was re-elected with 49.5 percent of the vote in the Lübeck-Ost constituency. In the 1988 election for the 12th electoral term, she received 58.6 percent of the first votes. In 1992 she received 46.2 percent of the vote. In February 1995 she resigned before the end of the electoral term, and was replaced by Andreas Beran . Sigrid Warnicke became the ombudsman for social affairs in Schleswig-Holstein. For her work in this office, she received great recognition across party lines. In 2001 she left office; her successor was Birgit Wille-Handels from Groß Grönau.

Sigrid Warnecke is married and has three children.
