The Sikkim man's shield ( Androsace strigillosa ) is a species of the genus Mannsschild ( Androsace ) in the primrose family (Primulaceae).
features
The Sikkim man's shield is a perennial herbaceous plant that reaches heights of up to 40 centimeters. It usually does not form runners. The leaves are tripartite, up to 8 (16) centimeters long and up to 2.5 (3.5) centimeters wide.
The flower stalks are 2 to 5 inches long. The crown hem has a diameter of 6 to 15 millimeters and is colored white, pink or red. The flowering time is in June.
Occurrence
The Sikkim man's shield occurs in Bhutan, Nepal, Sikkim and southeast Tibet on damp meadows, in larch forests and in bushes.
