Silas McLellan
Silas Dennison McLellan (born March 17, 1897 in Noel , Nova Scotia , † February 10, 1974 ibid) was a Canadian marathon runner .
In 1925 he finished eleventh in the Boston Marathon . In 1928 he finished tenth in Boston and came in 26th place at the Olympic Games in Amsterdam with his personal best of 2:49:33 h.
In 1930 he was ninth in Boston and sixth in the British Empire Games in Hamilton . In 1931 and 1932 he won the Halifax Marathon . In 1964 he was inducted into the Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame .
