Büchelterhof is a district in the Asselborn district of Bergisch Gladbach .
history
Büchelterhof is recorded in the original cadastre as Hof Büchel . The village is one of the oldest settlement centers in the Bergisch Gladbach area from the Franconian rode era of the 9th and 10th centuries. In the first half of the 13th century, the Büchelterhof fell through a donation to the Order of St. John in Herrenstrunden. In the years that followed, it served to maintain the parish of Herkenrath . In the 16th century there was a dispute over property rights between the order and the parish of Herkenrath. In 1537 the dispute was settled in favor of the parish Herkenrath with the proviso that the Büchelterhof with a property of 336 acres belonged exclusively to the parish, whereby the respective pastor had to belong to the Order of St. John. This peace lasted until 1730. From this point on, the court reverted to the order in Herrenstrunden.
