Silke Kobald
Silke Kobald (born October 28, 1971 in Leoben ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and district leader in the 13th district of Hietzing in Vienna .
Life
Kobald spent her childhood in Mühlbach am Hochkönig and Buch near Jenbach . From 1982 to 1990 she attended the federal high school in Gmunden , Upper Austria . In 1990 Kobald moved to Vienna to study political science and ethnology , which she graduated with honors in 1996.
During her studies, Kobald met her husband Thomas Heinrich, with whom she and their son moved to Hietzing in 1997. After a maternity leave , Kobald worked in 1998 for the Mission of the League of Arab States in Vienna as the director's assistant. From 1999 to 2001 she worked for the Arab Bank in Vienna.
politics
In 2004 Kobald took over the management of the service point of the ÖVP Hietzing. From 2008 to 2012 she was chief of protocol at the Federal Ministry of Finance . On February 29, 2012 she was elected deputy district mayor and on July 8, 2013 to succeed Heinrich Gerstbach as district director of Hietzing. Since then she has campaigned against the construction of a equipment center in the Hörndlwald and the maintenance of a local post office. Among other things, about the project new connection path of ÖBB still being negotiated.
She is also committed to equality between women and men. Since 2009 she has been the chairwoman of the ÖVP women in Hietzing and since 2010 the deputy head of the ÖVP Vienna.
