Silly Walks Discotheque
Silly Walks Movement is a reggae - Sound System from Hamburg , which in 1991 as Silly Walks Movement was founded. In 2008, the name was changed to express the separation from long-term member David Meyer and the changes associated with it.
Silly Walks contributed significantly to the spread of roots reggae and dub in Germany and are considered pioneers of the European sound system scene. Silly Walks have always been active as a producer.
Her debut album (released under Silly Walks Movement ) featured stars like Jan Delay , Gentleman , Patrice Bart-Williams , Ce'Cile and many others. They also produce entire albums by individual artists such as Patrice and Caramelo Criminal from Munich and a number of singles with Jamaican artists such as Lutan Fyah , Turbulence and Tanya Stephens .
Founding member Oliver Schrader and Joscha Hoffmann, who has been part of the crew since 2003, have been working with Philip "Jr Blender" Meckseper since 2008 and when it was renamed Silly Walks Discotheque when it comes to music productions.
The first joint release in 2009, the Aspire Riddim , was followed by a new producer album in 2012 with the title Storms Of Life . There are u. a. Artists such as Konshens , Da'Ville , Luciano , J-Boog and long-time Silly Walks companion Gentleman are represented.
In 2013 another release was released on their own label with the Honey Pot Riddim .
