Silver Kerna (born August 13, 1994 in Tallinn ) is an Estonian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Finnish club JHT Kalajoki in Suomi-sarja since 2016 .

Career

Silver Kerna began his career as a hockey player in Lappeenranta, Finland, with Saimaan Pallo . For the team from South Karelia he played for four years in different youth leagues. In 2012 he moved to Kouvola , where he played for the local club KooKoo for two years, also mainly in the junior area. In 2014 he was also on the ice for the second men's team for the first time in the relegation of the II-divisioona . At the end of that season he left KooKoo and switched to Mikkelin Jukurit . Since 2016 he has been under contract with the YHT Kalajoki in Suomi-sarja .

International

For Estonia , Kerna took part in the junior division in Division II at the U20 World Championships in 2011 , 2012 and 2013 , when he and his compatriot Mark Taru achieved the best plus / minus balance of the tournament and thus significantly contributed to the rise of the team from the Baltic States who contributed B- to A-group of Division II, and participated in 2014 .

In the senior division, Kerna was nominated for the 2014 Division II World Championship for the first time when he and his team were promoted to Division I. There he played at the 2015 and 2016 World Championships . He also represented his colors at the Baltic Cup 2016.
