Silvia Artola

Silvia Artola (born April 5, 1985 ) is a Nicaraguan weightlifter .

Career

Artola was eighth in the class up to 53 kg at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro . At the Pan American Championships in 2008 she came seventh in the class up to 58 kg. In 2009 she switched back to the class up to 53 kg and was fifth at the Pan American Championships. At the Pan American Games in Guadalajara in 2011 , she returned to the class up to 58 kg and reached fifth place. In 2012, however, she tested positive for methylhexanamine during a doping control and was banned for two years. After her suspension, she was seventh at the 2014 Pan American Championships. In 2015, she reached fifth place in the 63 kg class at the Pan American Games in Toronto .
