Silvia Glogner

Silvia Glogner (born November 19, 1940 in Berlin ; † September 8, 2011 in Linz , Austria ) was a German actress .

Life

At the age of 16 Silvia Glogner started her first engagement in Braunschweig . Further stations were Basel , Karlsruhe , Augsburg , Cologne , Dortmund and Lübeck .

Silvia Glogner, who has lived in Linz since 1976 and was engaged at the Landestheater there with a two-year break , appeared in hundreds of major roles during this time; Among other things, she gave the sister in “One flew over the cuckoo's nest”, Atossa in “ The Persians ”, Queen Elisabeth both in Dario Fo's play and in Schiller'sMaria Stuart ”, the mother in Bernhard's “Am Ziel”.

Since Glogner was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006, the actress, popular with the audience, has taken a little shorter time, but without thinking about quitting and retiring. After surgery and two chemotherapy sessions within a year, she played in smaller roles or larger roles were reduced to them, as in Chekhov's " Uncle Vanya " or Shakespeare's " Measure for Measure ". Most recently she played a slightly larger role again, Madame Schleyer in Nestroy'sDer Zerrissene ”.

On September 4, 2011, just four days before she died of breast cancer, Silvia Glogner was awarded the title of Chamber Actress .
