Silvio "Gnaro" Mondinelli (born June 24, 1958 in Gardone Val Trompia ) is an Italian mountaineer . He is the 13th person who has managed to climb all eight-thousanders , i.e. all 14 mountains on earth with a height of over 8,000 meters .

On October 13, 1993, Mondinelli stood for the first time on an eight-thousander, the 8,163-meter-high Manaslu . He climbed Mount Everest , the highest mountain on earth at 8,848 meters, on May 23, 2001. On July 12, 2007, Mondinelli was finally on the summit of his last eight-thousander, Broad Peak . It took him almost 13 years and 9 months for the entire eight-thousander program. He refrained from using bottled oxygen on all climbs; only five climbers had succeeded in this before him.

On December 27, 2009, Mondinelli was awarded the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic at the level of the Knight's Cross.

• 07/20/2005: Nanga Parbat (8125 m)
• May 9, 2006: Shishapangma (8027 m)
• 06/19/2006: Lhotse (8516 m)
• October 12, 2006: Annapurna (8091 m)
• 07/12/2007: Broad Peak (8051 m)
• May 24th, 2010: Mount Everest (second ascent)
