Simón Vanderhoeght , full name Simón Vanderhoeght Santos , (born May 6, 1986 in Maldonado ) is a Uruguayan football player who also has Belgian nationality.

Career

The 1.78 meter tall midfielder Vanderhoeght comes from the youth team of Club Atlético Atenas , for which he was active for 13 years. At this time he also played in the coached by Fabricio Bassa in the U-15 national team of the Maldonado Department . In 2004 he took part in the first edition of the Punta Cup with the team of his club . Later he was under contract with the Uruguayan first division club Montevideo Wanderers and moved to Hellas Verona on loan for six months in early January 2009 . After returning to the Wanderers, he played eleven league games in the 2009/10 season. He hit the opposing goal four times. At least in the 2011 Clausura he was in the ranks of the second division club Deportivo Maldonado . In the first half of the 2011/12 season, he played eleven times in the Austrian first division for FC Lustenau 07 . He didn't score a goal. In early January 2012 he returned to Uruguay and joined the second division club Atlético Atenas , which he left after around a year at the end of January 2013. From then on, he played for the first division club Atlético Bella Vista , completed ten league games with the Montevideans in the 2012/13 season and scored one goal. In August he went back to Atenas. At the club from San Carlos , 20 games (no goal) in the Segunda División will be played for him in the 2013/14 season . At the end of the season, his club rose to the highest Uruguayan league. In the 2014/15 season he was used 20 times (no goal) in the Primera División , could not prevent immediate relegation with the team. He then moved to the Belgian club KFC Verbroedering Dender EH in 2015 , for which he played 22 games in the 3rd division and scored two goals. He was also used in a cup game (no goal). In mid-July 2016 he returned to Atenas and was used there in eleven second division games in the 2016 season and scored three goals.
