Simon Abkarian ( Armenian Սիմոն Աբգարեան ; born March 5, 1962 in Gonesse , France ) is a French actor of Armenian descent.

life and career

After growing up in Lebanon , where there is a large Armenian community, Abkarian moved to Los Angeles , where he became a member of an Armenian theater company led by Gérald Papazian . In 1985 he returned to Paris back and joined the Théâtre du Soleil of Ariane Mnouchkine at.

Abkarian's oeuvre of over 80 productions includes Atom Egoyan's Ararat from 2002 and Sally Potter's Yes from 2004, in which he played the leading male role. In 2006 he stood in front of the camera for the role of Alex Dimitrios in the 21st James Bond film Casino Royale . In 2007, several appearances followed in the television series Spooks - In the sights of MI5 . Since then he has appeared in various film and television productions.
