Simon Laner (born January 28, 1984 in Bolzano ) is an Italian football player . The midfielder became European champion with the Italian U-19 national team in 2003.

Career

societies

Laner made his debut for the Hellas Verona professional team in Serie B in 2002 . In order to gain gaming experience, he was loaned to Carrarese Calcio and Real Castelnuovo from 2003 to 2006 in the C2 series. After a brief return to Verona, another loan followed, this time to the fourth-class US Sanremese . In 2007 Laner was signed by the Serie C1 club AC Pro Sesto , in 2008 he moved to UC AlbinoLeffe in Serie B. After good performance, he got the chance to play for Cagliari Calcio in Serie A in the 2010/11 season , and made his first appearance at the start of the season. In the total of 18 games for Cagliari, however, he was unable to assert himself sustainably and the club waived a final commitment to the midfielder, who grew up in Gargazon in South Tyrol . He then returned to AlbinoLeffe for a season. In 2012 he moved to Hellas Verona, and in 2014 on loan to Novara Calcio . Three more loans followed: 2014 to FC Carpi , 2015 to FC Chiasso and 2016 to FC Modena . In 2017 he returned to Hellas.

National team

Laner was active for the U-19 and U-20 national teams of Italy . In 2003 he won the U-19 European Football Championship with Italy .
