Simon Wittmann
Simon Georg Wittmann (born December 14, 1947 in Tännesberg ) is a German politician ( CSU ). He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1984 to 1987 and again from 1990 to 1996 and from 1996 to 2014 District Administrator of the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district .
Life
After graduating from high school in 1968, Wittmann studied history, French, social studies and philosophy at the University of Regensburg in Weiden . In 1975 and 1978 he passed the two exams as a high school teacher. After graduating, he worked as a teacher and was a teacher in Munich, Cham, Amberg and Oberviechtach. Wittmann was chairman of the Pro Libris association and also a member of the diocesan council of the diocese of Regensburg . He is a member of the Catholic student union K.St.V. Leuchtenberg Regensburg in the KV .
politics
Wittmann joined the CSU in 1969 and was deputy district chairman of the Junge Union from 1972 to 1975 before he was then district chairman in Upper Palatinate until 1983. In 1975 he was a member of the CSU district board and in 1984 district chairman. From 1978 to 1984 he was second mayor and from 1984 to 1990 chairman of the CSU parliamentary group in Tännesberg.
Wittmann moved up on November 20, 1984 for the resigned MP Franz Ludwig Stauffenberg in the Bundestag and ended the current tenth electoral term. He was a full member of the Petitions Committee and the Committee on Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. He was elected to the Bundestag for the first time in the 1990 Bundestag election and entered the Federal Parliament via a direct mandate in constituency 221 (Weiden), which he was also able to defend in the 1994 Bundestag election. He was again a full member of the Committee on the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety in the two legislative periods. In the tenth, in the twelfth electoral term from March 1992 and in the thirteenth electoral term, he was also a member of the Committee on Labor and Social Affairs. For the twelfth and thirteenth electoral terms, he was vice-chairman of the Committee on Tourism and Tourism. Wittmann was environmental policy spokesman for the CSU regional group and a member of the board of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group.
Wittmann was deputy district administrator of the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district from 1990 to 1996 and was elected district administrator in 1996. After his successful election, he left the Bundestag voluntarily on August 21, 1996 to take up the office of district administrator. For him, drew Fritz Wittmann according to the Bundestag. He was re-elected as district administrator in 2002 and 2008. He did not run for the 2014 local elections.
Awards
He was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon in 1998 and first class in 2016. On July 9th, 2009 he received the Bavarian Order of Merit . On May 10, 2010 he was awarded the medal for special services to Bavaria in a United Europe . On January 13, 2015, he was awarded the honorary title of "Altlandrat". On October 10, 2016, he received the Federal Cross of Merit, 1st class.
