Fritz Wittmann (born March 21, 1933 in Plan near Marienbad , Czechoslovakia ; † October 17, 2018 in Munich ) was a German lawyer and politician ( CSU ). From 1994 to 1998 he was President of the Association of Expellees and a member of the German Bundestag .

Life

Wittmann was born in Egerland and grew up in Ingolstadt after being expelled . He studied law in Munich. There he became a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Tuiskonia Munich in the CV . 1960 to 1961 he was a research assistant at the chair for international law at the LMU. In 1961 he became a judge at the Munich Regional Court . Wittmann was state secretary of the Junge Union (JU) Bavaria from 1956 to 1959 , from 1957 to 1958 state chairman of the RCDS in Bavaria and from 1983 to 1991 headed the defense policy working group of the CSU. Wittmann was a member of the German Bundestag from 1971 to 1994 and from August 22, 1996 to October 26, 1998 . He was also chairman of the Bavarian regional association of the Federation of Expellees, Deputy National Chairman of the Sudeten German Landsmannschaft , founding chairman of the board of the Sudeten German Foundation and a member of the former administrative board of the German Compensation Bank .
