After that she was mainly active in the sports program Domenica Sportiva .
In 1993 Simona Ventura switched to private competitor Mediaset , where she presented the show Mai dire gol on Italia 1 together with other presenters until 1997 . Under her leadership, the concept of the program was changed, with the sporting analysis of the football matches and the cultural part within the program being pushed into the background in favor of entertainment, satirical reports and shows.
In parallel, she moderated numerous other programs over the years. Her first real audience success came in 2002 when she hosted the first season of the reality show L'isola dei famosi , the Italian version of Celebrity Survivor ! , where she hosted eight seasons.
