Simonas Kairys
Simonas Kairys (born April 19, 1984 in Telšiai ) is a Lithuanian liberal politician and since 2015 Vice Mayor of Kaunas Municipality .
Life
After graduating from high school in 2003, he completed a bachelor's degree in political science at the Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas in Kaunas in 2007 and a master's degree in law and administration at the Mykolo Romerio universitetas in Vilnius in 2011 . Kairys worked as an advisor to the mayor in the Kaunas city administration , as a specialist in the postal company AB Lietuvos paštas and as a project manager at Liberaliosios minties institutas , assistant to Vice Mayor Mikaitis . He is a board member of VŠĮ Lietuvių išeivijos institutas .
He was a member of Liberalų ir centro sąjunga . He participated in the parliamentary elections in Lithuania in 2012 in the Kalniečiai constituency . Since 2008 he has been a member of Lietuvos Respublikos liberalų sąjūdis . He has been a member of Kaunas City Council since 2011 .
