Simone Stewens

Simone Stewens (* 1956 in Heidelberg ) is a German television journalist and managing director and artistic director of the ifs international film school in Cologne .

Life

From 1967 to 1976 she attended the Siegburg Alleestraße high school . She studied comparative literature , modern German literature and Romance studies in Bonn , Munich and Toulouse . From 1981 she worked as a freelance journalist for various ARD channels and the ZDF . She moved to the film department of Bayerischer Rundfunk , among other things as a presenter and author of cinema films . From 1997 she was the chief editor for documentaries and fiction films, responsible for license trading and co-productions. In 1999 she took over the overall management of the film and teleclub and was deputy program director for the game-film series on Bavarian television. She was there for cinema co-productions such as The Piano Player and Invincible - Invincible .

Since January 1st, 2002 she has been the managing director and artistic director of the Cologne Film School. There she established several bachelor and master courses in cooperation with the Cologne University of Applied Sciences .

Stewen's father was Ulrich Wegener , founder and first commander of GSG 9 .
