Singapore Tri-Nation Series 2019/20

The Singapore Tri-Nation Series 2019/20 was a three-nation tournament that was played from September 27th to October 3rd, 2019 in Singapore in Twenty20 cricket. In addition to the host, teams from Nepal and Zimbabwe took part in the tournament, which is part of the 2019/20 international cricket season . In the group, Zimbabwe prevailed ahead of Nepal and Singapore.

prehistory

Zimbabwe previously played a three-nation tournament in Bangladesh , for the other two teams it was the first tour of the season. Singapore is preparing for the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier in the United Arab Emirates , after leaving Nepal behind in qualifying . At the time of the tournament, Zimbabwe was suspended by the world association ICC and thus excluded from qualifying for the world championship.

format

In a preliminary round, each team played each other twice. There were two points for a win and one point for a draw or no result.
