United Arab Emirates Tri-Nation Series 2019/20

The United Arab Emirates Tri-Nation Series 2019/20 was a three-nation tournament that was played in one-day cricket in the United Arab Emirates from December 8 to 15, 2019 . In addition to the host, teams from Scotland and the United States took part in the tournament, which is part of the 2019/20 international cricket season . It was the third tournament in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 2019-2022 , which formed a qualification path to the Cricket World Cup 2023 via the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2022 .

prehistory

Scotland and the United Arab Emirates previously played in the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier 2019 , in which Scotland won the decisive game against the United Arab Emirates to qualify for the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 . The United States recently played a three-nation tournament at home .

format

In a preliminary round, each team played twice against each other. There were two points for a win and one point for a draw or no result.
