Sissi Tax

Sissi Tax (born September 19, 1954 in Köflach / Styria ) is an Austrian writer .

Life

Sissi Tax grew up in Köflach, Styria. She studied German language and literature and education at the universities in Graz and Berlin . Until 1980 she was a member of the editorial team of the literary magazine manuskripte . 1982 doctorate it at Graz University with a thesis on Marie Fleißer for Doctor of Philosophy . She then settled in Berlin , where she works as a publishing editor and editor . From 1986 to 1988 she was deputy director of the Berliner Literaturhaus .

Sissi Tax is mainly a writer of prose works .

Sissi Tax is a member of the Graz Authors' Assembly . In 1992 and 1993 he received a working grant from the Berlin Senate , in 1995 the sponsorship award from the magazine manuskripte and in 2001 the Holfeld-Tunzer Award . In 1996 she took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt .
