Seat divider

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A seat divider is the fixed distance between a seat and the seat in front of it in a vehicle .

It describes neither the distance between the end of the seat cushion of a seat and the backrest in front of it ( leg room ), nor the distance from the end of the back cushion to the backrest of the front seat in front of it (seat depth ). These distances are usually much smaller.

Seat divider also denotes the distance between two seats located opposite one another, e.g. B. in a compartment . The seat divider is particularly important in public transport . Seat dividers differ depending on the means of transport , the selected travel class ( transport or carriage class ) and therefore represent a comfort feature during a trip .
