The Sixtre is a river in France that runs in the Loir-et-Cher department in the Center-Val de Loire region . It rises in the municipality of Briou , generally drains towards the southwest and after 20 kilometers flows into the Cisse as a left tributary in the municipality of Maves . The river mouth is located in the Marais de la Haute-Cisse wetland, which is a protected area .
