ecology

The middle beach of the Laconian Gulf , known as Trinisa, is one of the most important biotopes for the hawksbill sea turtle, Caretta caretta , due to its shallow and clean water . The clutches are recorded, protected from predators with the help of bamboo grids and regularly checked. Seven multilingual information boards on Skalas-Gytheiou Street point out the hawksbill turtles.
