European Skat Championship

The European Skat Championship has been held every two years at different locations by the World Skat Association ( ISPA) since 1979 . It alternates regularly with the Skat World Championship , which has been organized by the same association since 1978. In addition to the title of European Skat Champion, a European Women's Champion, a European Youth Champion, a European Senior Champion and a European Senior Champion will be played.

Strange and unique: Claudia Knape won the men's final at the 2009 European Championships in Graz and thus became European champion! The title of European women's champion remained with Martina Schmidt, who had already won this title through better placement (M. Schmidt 9th place, C. Knape 16th place) in the preliminary round.

In addition, there is a rating for the best team (since 1981) and the best mixed team. In addition, a nation ranking was introduced in 1995.
