The Nosal ski area is located on the summit and the northern slopes of the Nosal in the Polish West Tatras in the municipality of Zakopane in the powiat Tatrzański in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship . It is located in the Tatra National Park . In the ski area there is the most difficult ski slope in Poland, "Ski slope K" with a slope of 37%. The ski area is operated by Strama Sp. Z oo, which owns the Tatra National Park, among others.

The ski area is located at an altitude of 919 m to 1170 m. The difference in altitude between the slopes is over 250 m. There is a black (very difficult), a red (difficult) and several green and blue slopes. The total length of the slopes is approx. 3 km, with the longest slope being 650 m long.

history

The ski area was created in 1953. The Nosal ski lift was built in 1956 and rebuilt in 1966. In 1973/1974 the Alpine Ski World Cup was held on ski slope K.

Ski lifts

There is a ski lift and nine cable and ribbon lifts in the ski area. A total of up to 5160 people can be transported per hour.

Nosal ski lift

The single-seat Nosal ski lift leads from Zakopane to just below the summit of Nosal. Its length is about 600 m.

Infrastructure

The ski area can be reached by car on the Oswald-Balzer-Weg panorama road. There are parking spaces at the lower station. The “Strama” ski school and the “Wintergroup” ski hire company operate in the ski area. The “Nosal” restaurant at the lower station is also part of the ski area. The TOPR mountain rescue service had a branch in the ski area.
