The Slovak Military Ordinary is the Catholic Military Ordinary in Slovakia and is responsible for the armed forces of Slovakia .

history

The military ordinariate in Slovakia provides pastoral care to members of the country's armed forces who profess a Catholic denomination. It was erected by Pope John Paul II on January 20, 2003. By mutual agreement between the Holy See and the Slovak Republic, the seat of the military ordinariate is in Bratislava .

From 2003 to 2009 the cathedral church was the Trinitarian church in the old town of Bratislava, since 2009 the newly built cathedral of St. Sebastian in the Rača district has served this purpose .
