Smendes II.
Smendes II was around 992 to 990 BC. During the late 20th to the beginning of the 21st Dynasty ( Third Intermediate Period ) high priest of Amun in Thebes .
His parents were the high priest Mencheperre and Isetemcheb III. , a daughter of Psusennes I. He also had a brother named Pinudjem II , who succeeded him as high priest.
Since he only ruled for two years, there is hardly any evidence of Smendes II's reign. The only recorded events are the foundation of bracelets for the funeral of Psusennes I and the organization of the funeral for Nesbanebdjeb . Furthermore, a decree from the 10th pylon of the Karnak Temple has been received, which secures the property rights of his widow Henuttaui .
