The Soanan is a river in France that runs in the Rhône department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises in the municipality of Saint-Appolinaire , first drains in a southerly direction, then swings south-east to east and flows after 20 kilometers at Les Ponts Tarrets , in the municipality of Légny , as a right tributary into the Azergues .
