The Socata ST-10 Diplomate was a light sport and touring aircraft from the French manufacturer SOCATA for four people.
History and equipment
From the all-metal aircraft Gardan GY-80 , the French manufacturer SOCATA developed a new type with an extended fuselage, modified tail unit and a more powerful engine. The revised main landing gear can be fully retracted into the wings and the nose wheel partially retracted into the aircraft nose. The prototype was first called Super Horizon and then renamed Provence . When series production began in 1969, the name was changed to Socata ST-10 Diplomate . Since sales developed very slowly, it was discontinued after the 57th copy.
