The Socata TB 31 Oméga was a trainer aircraft produced by the French manufacturer Socata .
history
The TB 31 was developed as a successor or supplement to the TB 30 on the basis of a private initiative of the company , as it was hoped for orders from the French Air Force . However, they ordered 50 Embraer EMB 312s instead .
construction
The machine is a further development of the TB 30 and differs from the previous model mainly through the turboprop engine and the two-part hood as well as two Martin-Baker ejection seats. The aircraft was designed as a low-wing aircraft with retractable nose wheel landing gear.
