When production of the TBM 900 started , production of the TBM 850 with the serial number 684 was discontinued.
history
In August 2004, EADS Socata announced the TBM850. EADS Socata responded to customer inquiries to further improve the flight performance of the TBM 700. The first prototype of the TMB850 flew in February 2005. On January 23, 2006, a series machine started for the first time. At the same time, the TMB850 received approval from the Federal Aviation Administration with this flight . In the spring of 2007, EADS Socata delivered the first TMB850 certified in Germany to Brose Flugservice. On September 19, the 800th machine from the TBM turboprop series, which has been in production since 1990, was delivered.
Avionics
The central avionics equipment of the TBM850 consists of a Garmin GMX 200 multi-function display (MFD). It integrates the moving map, radar, traffic information and terrain warning functions on a single screen. Optionally, XM Wetter and the ChartView route and approach charts from Jeppesen Sanderson can also be used.
The TBM850 is now also offered with the Garmin G1000 avionics system . The system consists of two PFD screens (captain and copilot) and a central MFD display (showing MAP / engine data).
