Socrates Mesiona
Socrates Calamba Mesiona MSP (born September 17, 1963 in Tagbilaran , Philippines ) is a Filipino Roman Catholic clergyman and Vicar Apostolic of Puerto Princesa .
Life
Socrates Mesiona joined the Mission Society of the Philippines at and received on 14 April 1989, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
From 2004 to 2009 he was the superior general of his religious community.
On 28 October 2016 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Budua and Vicar Apostolic of Puerto Princesa. The retired Archbishop of Manila , Cardinal Gaudencio Rosales , donated him episcopal ordination on February 10 of the following year . Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Sorsogon , Arturo Mandin Bastes SVD , and the Vicar Apostolic of Taytay , Edgardo Sarabia Juanich .
