The Apostolic Vicariate of Puerto Princesa ( lat. : Vicariatus apostolicus Portus Principis in Philippins ) is the Philippines located Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate with headquarters in Puerto Princesa .

history

The Apostolic Vicariate Puerto Princesa was established on April 10, 1910 by Pope Pius X from cession of territory of the Diocese of Jaro as the Apostolic Prefecture of Palawan . On July 3, 1955, the Apostolic Prefecture Palawan was by Pope Pius XII. raised to the apostolic vicariate. The Apostolic Vicariate of Palawan gave up parts of its territory on May 13, 2002 to establish the Apostolic Vicariate Taytay and was renamed the Apostolic Vicariate Puerto Princesa .
