The Diocese of Sorsogon ( lat. : Dioecesis Sorsogonensis ) is the Philippines located Roman Catholic diocese based in Sorsogon City .

history

The diocese Sorsogon was on June 29, 1951 by Pope Pius XII. built with the Apostolic Constitution Quo in Philippina Republica from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Caceres and subordinated to this as a suffragan . On March 23, 1968, the diocese of Sorsogon gave up parts of its territory to establish the diocese of Masbate .

The diocese of Sorsogon includes the province of Sorsogon .
