The Sogefi Group is an Italian automotive supplier based in Mantua .
history
The company was founded in 1980 by the Compagnie Industriali Riunite (CIR) with Roberto Colaninno as its first CEO. In the early years, Sogefi manufactured filters as a licensee of AlliedSignal . In 1986 and 1987 the suspension manufacturers Rejna, Mollificio Bresciano, Sidergarda (all Italy) and Ateliers Métallurgiques de Saint Urbain (France) were taken over. In 1996 Sogefi expanded its position by taking over Luhn & Pulvermacher and Dittmann & Neuhaus (both Germany) to become the European market leader. In 1999 Allevard Ressorts Automobile was taken over.
Products
Sogefi produces filters (brands CoopersFiaam , FRAM and Purflux ), chassis components (brands Allevard-Rejna , LP-DN and United Springs ) as well as air intake and engine cooling systems.
Sogefi is one of the largest manufacturers in the world for chassis components ( coil springs , stabilizers , torsion springs , pressure rods , leaf springs and chain tensioners ) and filters.
