Sokol Olldashi

Sokol Olldashi (born December 17, 1972 in Durrës , † November 20, 2013 in Krraba ) was an Albanian politician ( PD ). Between 2007 and 2013 he headed the Ministry of Transport.

biography

Sokol Olldashi completed his law studies at the University of Tirana in 1995 . In 2001 he was elected as a member of the Democratic Party in Kuvendi i Shqipërisë . Between 2005 and 2009 he was president of his party in the Tirana section . In 2005 his career as a minister began: he held the post of Interior Minister until 2007, after which he was appointed Minister for Public Works, Transport and Telecommunications in the Berisha I cabinet. Since 2009 he has headed the Ministry of Public Works and Transport in the Berisha II cabinet .

Private matters and his death

In addition to Albanian , Olldashi also spoke English and Italian . On November 20, 2013, he lost his life in a car accident on the SH3 near Krraba . Sokol Olldashi leaves behind his wife and two sons. The funeral took place on November 21st in Tirana in the presence of family, relatives, party colleagues and many citizens.
