Solomon Tsige

Solomon Tsige (born January 23, 1985 in Chacha ) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon .

He first started on the half marathon distance and finished fifth at the 2004 World Half Marathon Championships in New Delhi .

In 2008 he switched to the full distance, but only came 13th in the Amsterdam Marathon in 2:13:23 h. After a 12th place in the Dubai Marathon 2009, he had his biggest success so far at the Hamburg Marathon of the same year, the he won in 2:11:47 h.
