Solvejg Albeverio-Manzoni

Solvejg Albeverio-Manzoni (born November 6, 1939 in Arogno as Solvejg Manzoni ) is a Swiss painter and author .

Life

Manzoni grew up as the daughter of a journalist in Italian-speaking Switzerland in Lugano . At the Textile School of Como she made from 1957 to 1960 trained as a textile illustrator and worked in Como and Zurich . She worked as a freelancer for Radio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano. In 1970 she married the Swiss mathematician Sergio Albeverio . After the marriage, she and her husband often changed their place of residence, so they lived in Princeton , Oslo , Naples , Sanary-sur-Mer , Bielefeld , Bochum and Bonn . Since 1978 she has had solo and group exhibitions with pictures, etchings and drawings in several countries. Since 1980 she has also been active as a writer. Since then she has been switching between writing and painting, which for her are complementary forms of expression. Today she lives in Lugano and Bonn. She has a daughter.
