Some Kind of Trouble is the third studio album by the English singer-songwriter James Blunt . It was recorded at British Grove Studios and Northern Sky Studios in London and released on November 5, 2010 in Germany and November 8, 2010 in the UK .

The first single from the album was Stay the Night on October 25, 2010 . So Far Gone followed in January 2011 , but only in Great Britain. Another release followed in April 2011, If Time Is All I Have .

The album was also released in a limited edition; In addition to the 12 pieces of the normal version, this also contains the making-of for the music video for Stay the Night as well as a photo series and a lithograph of the album cover showing a child being thrown up. It is the daughter of YouTube artist Shay Carl.

In an interview with the dpa , Blunt said about the album: “My music used to be slower and more reflective, now it's more energetic. We felt naive and innocent, like back in the 1980s when we believed we could do anything. "

Hannes Wesselkämper from laut.de awards one of five stars and thinks that the fear of [...] doing something wrong [...] is almost palpable. The music has to be so unobtrusive that you can let it play in the background while ironing and not miss anything relevant. The drummer could only be set to slow or fast and the guitar sounded about as rocky as a nine-year-old pink double on the mini playback show .

Ina Simone Mautz from plattentests.de overwrites her criticism with "Öde Oden" and awards four out of ten points. She writes that pieces like Dangerous with its stupid beat and that strange touch of R&B , I'll Be Your Man with effortlessly casual clapping […] or the uncomfortably perspiring bombast rock of So far gone seemed pretty out of place.
