The New Musical Express named it the "worst album of the year" anyway.

In the wake of the success of the single You're Beautiful , Back to Bedlam also took first place in many countries around the world. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland it was number 1 and with first place also reached the top ten of the US Billboard charts.

Singles

The songs High , Wisemen , You're Beautiful and Goodbye My Lover were released as singles in that order .

Blunt's singles were initially released with a B-side each, with High and Wisemen later released with other B-sides. Of You're Beautiful , there are different versions (for example, a version with the text "fucking high" and the censored version with "flying high").

From high two videos exist: In a Blunt is to see how he is first buried in the desert and later in a drunken state pursues a girl while playing in the second version in a kind of clinic guitar and noticeably in other scenes freed by a Forest is running. “High” was the anthem for T-Com's advertising campaign for the 2006 World Cup in Germany. In Europe, the song was also seen in a Vodafone commercial and in the US it was used for Hilton Hotels . Among other things, it was also used for the series Grey's Anatomy .

All music and making-of videos have been re-released on the Back to Bedlam: The Bedlam Sessions bonus DVD .
