Midsummer Night's Songs

The Midsummer Night's Songs are a three-day open - air festival that has been held since 2016 in the former Dalheim monastery in the Westphalian district of Paderborn . On a weekend in June or July, three concerts are held in the courtyard every two years . The concerts are organized by the Dalheim Monastery Foundation . LWL State Museum for Monastery Culture in cooperation with the KulturBüro-OWL.

The festival program includes concerts from various genres, such as swing and jazz , rock , poetry and ballads, as well as music by songwriters . The festival concept mainly includes songs in the German mother tongue .

The Dalheim Monastery Foundation . LWL State Museum for Monastic Culture is one of the 18 museums of the Regional Association of Westphalia-Lippe (LWL) and Germany's only state museum for monastic cultural history. It is jointly supported by the LWL and the Dalheim Monastery Foundation and is located in the 800 year old former Dalheim Monastery .

The concerts take place in the baroque courtyard of the former Augustinian canons . Surrounded by the impressive castle architecture of the complex, a total of 750 seats are created here.
