Son Dam Bi (born September 25, 1983 ) is a South Korean singer , actress and model .

biography

Before Son Dam Bi appeared as a singer, she starred in music videos for Paran and MYV. She got attention when she appeared in an advertisement for an MP3 player with Poppin 'Hyun Joon . MSN Japan made a documentary of how Son Dambi rehearsed, trained and worked towards her debut. The show reached over 480,000 viewers within the first five days. She was also a singer in the group S.Blush together with After Schools Kahi. Her first download single "It's My Life" reached # 2 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Charts .

debut

On June 14th 2007 Son Dam Bi released their first single "Cry Eye". She had her first live appearance in Channel Vs A Li (V) e . During the year she modeled for various brands such as B. Buckaroo.

The first mini-album

On April 29, 2008 their first EP Son Dambi Mini Album Vol.1 was released in South Korea. The song "Bad Boy" was produced by Brave Brothers .

In September 2008 she returned with the single " 미쳤어 " ("Crazy"). In the music video and the live performances, Son Dam Bi performed the so-called “chair dance”, which became very popular in South Korea and developed into the “sofa dance”. The dance has been imitated and parodied by many South Korean personalities.

Side projects and chart successes

At the end of 2008, Son Dam Bi took part in the MBC reality show We Got Married ( 우리 결혼 했어요 ) , as a couple with actor Marco. Until February 2, 2009 the series, with her and Marco as a couple, was broadcast.

Son released her first studio album in 2009 with the single "토요일 밤 에" ( Toyoil Bamae , "On Saturday Night"). The song became a number 1 hit and dominated various chart shows. During her appearances, she wore typical 80s clothing, which made her known as a "retro fashion fan".

Furthermore, she gave in 2009 her acting debut in the SBS - soap opera legend as starring alongside Ju Jin-mo and Kim Bum .
