SonAir Airline Services SA is an Angolan airline based in Luanda and based on the Aeroporto Internacional Quatro de Fevereiro .
history
SonAir was founded on February 16, 1998 in Luanda as a subsidiary of the Sonangol Group . The core business of Sonair is essentially the support of the oil industry.
In 2009, Sonair itself founded a subsidiary called ServisAir , which briefly operated two Boeing 727-100C .
In the course of 2012 Sonair took over the majority with 51% of the santomenische STP Airways .
It is currently on the list of operating bans for the airspace of the European Union .
Destinations
In addition to national scheduled flights , Sonair also offers charter flights for oil companies based in Angola . Internationally since November 2000 a connection from Luanda to Houston has been operated three times a week under the name "Houston Express" , which is operated by Atlas Air with Boeing 747-400. To a large extent, she serves the staff who work for American oil companies in Angola.
