Song Jiayuan (born September 15, 1997 ) is a Chinese shot putter .

Athletic career

Song Jiayuan gained her first international experience at the U20 World Championships 2016 in Bydgoszcz , where she won the silver medal with 16.36 m. In 2019 she won the bronze medal at the Asian Championships in Doha with 17.70 m behind her compatriot Gong Lijiao and Noora Salem Jasim from Bahrain. She then took part in the Summer Universiade in Naples , where she was eighth with a width of 16.92 m. At the beginning of October she was eliminated from the qualification at the World Championships in Doha with 17.24 m .
